Desmos Strategies
Key Things to Remember
Lowercase x is mandatory. Desmos only graphs equations when you use lowercase x as the primary variable.
The "Small Number" Hack: if a regression should work but Desmos is failing, add +0.000001 to one side to help the calculator find the solution.
Circle Standard Form: memorize (x - h)^2 + (y - k)^2 = r^2. The value after = is radius squared.
Vertex Form Mastery: always use y = a(x - h)^2 + k whenever a quadratic problem mentions a maximum or minimum.
"Is/Was" = equals. This is the most reliable translation rule for all word problems.
