Unbarred is a free SAT prep resource built by a student, for students. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what rights you have. We keep it simple because we have nothing to hide.
What We Collect
Unbarred collects minimal information. If you sign up for email notifications, we store your email address. If you create an account, we store your email and a hashed password. We do not collect your name, phone number, address, or any payment information. Unbarred is free and will always be free.
How We Use Your Information
Your email is used only to send you updates about new curriculum modules, resources, and practice tools when you opt in. We do not sell your data. We do not share your data with third parties. We do not use your data for advertising.
Cookies and Analytics
We may use basic, privacy-respecting analytics to understand how students use the site so we can improve it. We do not use tracking cookies for advertising or retargeting. No data from your session is sold or shared.
Third-Party Services
Unbarred uses Groq to power the AI Practice tool. When you use the practice tool, your messages are sent to Groq's API to generate responses. We do not store your practice conversations on our servers. Please review Groq's privacy policy at groq.com for more information.
Data Retention
If you sign up for email notifications, your email is stored until you request deletion. To delete your data, email us at unbarredprep@gmail.com and we will remove it within 7 days.
